Data Retention

Used Machine Marketplace

If you list or enquire about a machine on our second-hand marketplace, we handle some extra information to run that service.

  • What is public: anyone who views the marketplace can see, for each listing:
    • the city or region, the machine's model and included accessories, its condition and price;
    • the listing photos, and any notes or selling reason the seller adds;
    • an estimate of its remaining warranty, worked out from its original delivery date.
  • What we share with the other party: if you enquire about a listing, your email address and message are sent to the seller so they can reply to you directly.
  • Verifying a listing: if you list a machine, we check your original order number and email a code, and your private link to manage the listing, to the address on that order. This confirms the original purchase, not current ownership.
  • Automated checks: listing photos and text are checked automatically by a content-safety service provider before they go live.
  • Reports: if you report a listing, we keep the reason and any details you add, with a one-way code made from your network address so each person is counted once. The seller is told the reasons, not who reported.
  • Records: when you list or enquire, we record the terms version, your ticked acknowledgements and the time you accepted them. When you request a code, we record the order number you entered and a one-way code of your network address to prevent misuse.
  • Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing the introduction between buyer and seller that you have requested.
  • Retention: active listings expire automatically 90 days after they are created. We keep enquiry messages and listing records only for as long as we need them to run the marketplace, act on reports and meet our legal obligations.

Data Transfers Outside the EEA

If we transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place. These may include Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, or transfers to countries deemed to provide an adequate level of data protection.
