What fits my starting point?
Which kinds of movement fit my treatment, recovery and energy right now?
Christine Fischer shares her experience of cancer treatment, motherhood and finding a different reason to move.
CHRISTINE'S STORY
Movement had always been part of Christine's life. A former college athlete and runner, she had been preparing to compete on the track when she was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer at 28 in 2023. In the film, she describes how treatment changed her goals and what being active meant to her.
Some days looked different from others. She describes learning to focus less on what she was doing and more on why she wanted to move. Now a mother to Finn, she talks about making space for her own identity alongside motherhood. The film follows her first experience with Gym Monster 2, recently set up in her living room, and a home workout while her baby slept nearby.
YOUR NEXT STEP
Your experience may be different from Christine's. Ask your treating clinician which movements, resistance and support are appropriate for you.
Which kinds of movement fit my treatment, recovery and energy right now?
Are there movements, resistance levels or precautions I should discuss before trying the equipment?
Would supervision or specialist guidance be appropriate, and when should I check back with my care team?

QUESTIONS
Our team can explain the equipment and demonstrate its controls. Your treating clinician or a qualified exercise professional familiar with your medical history should advise on suitability.
Bring the plan or your questions to a demo so we can show you the relevant equipment features. Ask your clinician to confirm which exercises, loads and supervision are appropriate.
